This wonderfully natural and loose looking geometric was created by manipulating the two-dimensional cloth surface into three-dimensional shapes before compressing them to dye. Itajime shibori is a shaped-resist technique, traditionally, the cloth is sandwiched between two pieces of wood, which are held in place with string.
